Adrenal Gland Fatigue Symptoms and Treatment
The adrenal glands sit on top of the kidneys and regulate certain hormones within the body. Certain disorders and problems can cause hormone levels to be abnormal, resulting in a number of non-ideal health conditions. One of the most common is fatigue and the feeling of being sluggish most of the time. Epinephrine is produced, which is commonly known as adrenaline, and if not is produced in normal amounts the body will always feel tired. Imbalanced levels can lead to other issues such as problems with digestion and breaking down foods into sustainable nutrients for the body to use. Blood glucose is regulated here, and needs to stay within a certain range so that body can work as efficiently as possible.
People can be affected mentally and physically and suffer from exhaustion, even when individuals are getting what they believe to be the correct amount of rest and sleep. Lowered immune system response is a side-effect and an inability to deal with stress. There can be the desire to take stimulants, such as caffeine or certain prescription medicines in order to boost energy. But they should actually be avoided by someone who is suffering from this. A common treatment is to improve the diet, one that will keep blood glucose in check and even throughout the day. Cutting out coffee or anything else that can cause the central nervous system to be stimulated can help.
